    Cruise, with normal wheels and wheel pants, is within a few knots of Vne. That does not sound like a comfortable way to fly the plane. That makes me wonder about having both the wing extensions and normal tires. Any comments?

    Is it practical to have both standard wheels (for normal flying) and bush wheels (for back country flying)? Is it practical for the owner to change back and forth between them by himself?

    If one has a King Katmai with the largest standard tires (8.00) and wheel pants, is it practical for the owner to remove and reinstall the wheel pants by himself? The scenario is the obvious one -- fly normally with wheel pants, remove for back country flight, and reinstall afterward. The purpose...
